Project Overview

WPBazaar.dev is a GPL-licensed WordPress theme and plugin marketplace offering premium products at affordable prices. The platform provides WordPress themes, plugins, Elementor template kits, and PHP scripts — all under the General Public License for unlimited website usage.

The business model centers on membership plans that give customers access to the entire product library: Base ($9.99/month), Premium ($39.99/6 months), Gold ($59.99/year), and Diamond ($89.99/lifetime).

My Role

What I owned

I led the marketplace design, WooCommerce architecture, membership setup, product-organization strategy, and conversion-focused merchandising for the launch.

Structured the storefront around memberships, catalog browsing, and digital-product trust signals.

Configured automated delivery, account access, and subscription logic.

Designed landing and pricing experiences that explained GPL value clearly.

Built the operational setup for catalog growth and recurring customer retention.

Building a digital product marketplace required specific solutions:

Large Catalog Management: 2,000+ products needed organization across categories (themes, plugins, template kits, scripts) with daily updates to keep products current.

Membership System: Multiple tiers with different access levels, download limits, and duration. Needed automated access management and renewal workflows.

Digital Delivery: Instant, secure file delivery after purchase with download tracking and bandwidth management.

GPL Compliance: All products needed proper GPL licensing documentation and terms of use.

Customer Trust: In a competitive GPL marketplace space, trust signals, customer reviews, and support quality needed to differentiate WPBazaar.

My Approach

I built the marketplace using WordPress and WooCommerce:

Theme & Design: Set up WoodMart theme with custom configuration for a digital product marketplace. Created a clean, conversion-focused design with membership CTAs, product showcase, customer testimonials, and trust badges.

Product Architecture: Configured WooCommerce for digital products with category organization: Premium WordPress Themes, Premium WordPress Plugins, Elementor Template Kits, and PHP Scripts. Set up automated product updates.

Membership System: Implemented 4 membership tiers with WooCommerce Memberships/Subscriptions. Configured download limits per tier (10-20 daily downloads), access duration, and support levels.

Automated Delivery: Set up instant digital download delivery with secure links, download limit enforcement, and automated email notifications with download instructions.

Marketing & Conversion: Created a promotional system with discount codes (50% off membership), seasonal offers, and email marketing integration. Built the landing page with product counts, customer testimonials, and feature comparison tables.
