LMS Platform — Layek Academy

Layek Academy needed a professional e-learning platform to deliver their courses online. They were previously using a combination of Google Drive for materials and manual spreadsheets for tracking — which wasn't scalable and provided a poor student experience.

They needed a complete LMS that could handle course creation, student enrollment, payment processing, progress tracking, certificates, and quizzes — all within a single WordPress-based platform.

Complex Requirements: The academy needed video hosting, quiz engines, certificate generation, payment gateways (local + international), student progress tracking, and email notifications — all integrated seamlessly.

Local Payment Integration: Operating in Bangladesh required integrating local payment gateways (bKash, Nagad) alongside international options (Stripe), which most LMS plugins don't natively support.

Performance with Media: Video-heavy courses required careful optimization to maintain fast load times. Lazy loading, CDN integration, and proper caching strategies were essential.

User Experience: Many students were first-time online learners. The interface needed to be extremely intuitive with minimal friction in the enrollment and learning flow.

Budget Constraints: A full custom LMS was out of budget. I needed to build enterprise-grade functionality using WordPress plugins and custom development.

Platform Architecture:
WordPress + LearnDash (LMS plugin) + Elementor Pro for custom designs. Custom child theme with tailored templates for courses, lessons, quizzes, and the student dashboard.

Payment Integration:
Custom PHP development to integrate bKash and Nagad payment gateways with LearnDash's enrollment system. Used WooCommerce as the cart layer with custom checkout templates.

Content Delivery:
BunnyCDN for video delivery with signed URLs for content protection. Lazy-loaded video players that only initialize when scrolled into view. Implemented a custom video progress tracker that saves playback position.

Custom Features:
Built custom certificate generation with dynamic student name and course insertion. Automated email sequences for enrollment confirmation, lesson reminders, and course completion. Progress tracking dashboard with visual charts.

Performance:
Redis object caching, WP Rocket for page caching, optimized database queries for the student dashboard. Ensured the dashboard loaded in under 2 seconds even with 500+ enrolled students.
